Quicken, een programma voor de financiële administratie heeft enkele goede open source alternatieven. Een van die alternatieven is jGnash. Het progamma zegt veel van de eigenschappen van de bekende commerciële programma's te hebben.

Daarnaast bestaat er ook nog KMyMoney. "The free, easy to use, personal finance manager for KDE". Dit progamma is tevens gericht op beginners.

Verder is er nog GnuCash:
